How to choose a Flexible Water Connector

Check out the things you need to look up before buying a Flexible Water Connector, and choose the best option for your installation.

There are 6 key factors:

1. Type of appliance

You should consider that each installation (Toilet, Kitchen or Bathroom Sinks, Boiler, Washing Machine or Refrigerator) has different measures and characteristics. Identify the device you are going to install for the image and text that appears on the product label.

2. Type of nut

You can choose between three different types of nuts:

  • Metal Nut: requires tool for installation.
  • Metal Nut with Adjustment Wrench: it facilitates installation without tools.
  • Manual Adjusting Nut: made of high density thermoplastic, which allows adjustment by hand.

Any of these options are excellent for your installations, depending on what you require.

3. Space for Installation

If the space is reduced to enter the tool, you should consider using models that include Adjustment Wrench. This allows you to manually install both ends of the flexible connector in hard to reach locations.

4. Braiding

One of the essential points is to choose the material of the braid, since each one offers you different benefits:

Premium Line

  • Vinilo Platino: Reinforced vinyl braided Platinum color, which flange a high resistance to corrosion and an aesthetic metallic finish design.
  • Acero Ultra: Provides maximum corrosion resistance because it is composed of marine grade 316L stainless steel, which supports exposure to chlorinated chemicals, extending the life of the connector.

Basic Line

  • Acero Forte: Coflex's exclusive formula that combines Advanced Stainless Steel and Polymer Technology in a unique design braid on the market, providing high performance and safety.
  • Vinilo Tradicional: Reinforced Vinyl Braiding that provides high resistance to corrosion.

5. Stop Valves Measurement

You must take into account the measure of the nut according to the measurement of the stop valve that is previously installed in your home and the water appliance to which it will be installed. In case of not having the measurement, consult your Plumber.

6. Long

The length will depend on how far the connection between the stop valve and the appliance to be installed is. We recommend measuring this distance with a ruler or tape measure.

Warning! The Coflex Flexible Connector should not be stretched or rolled up as it may affect the flow of water.

Remember that choosing a Flexible Coflex Connector will prevent you from working in the future. Choose #LosOriginalesCoflex!
