Coflex
Making history.
Coflex began operations in 1986 under the name "Industrial de Mangueras Reforzadas" (IMAR), manufacturing braided hoses for the export market. In 1989, the modern flexible plumbing connectors were launched in the Mexican market with the Coflex brand, replacing the widespread use of rigid plumbing connections.
Our promise of safety and trust has transcended international borders. Exports of our products began more than twenty years ago and we currently have a presence throughout the American Continent.
2018 - Today
- Coflex introduces the Multilayer Pipe System for Gas and begins its manufacture, sale and distribution in Mexico and Latin America.
- Water Filtration line is expanded and the Toilet Seat line is created.
- Sales begin on Amazon Mexico to market plumbing and Coflex Home® products.
- The marketing of the new faucet line under the Coflex Home® brand begins.
Featured events
- Coflex and Durman Mexico entered into an agreement for the purchase-sale of Durman’s Gas Conduction System assets and technology.
2014 - 2017
- Coflex strengthened its presence in the United States of America through a new positioning strategy of new and innovative product lines such as the Flexon Flange® and the Snappy Trap®.
- Amazon.com sales begin in the United States.
- Premium bathroom and kitchen Traps are launched in the Mexican market, including the offer of flexible and rigid traps. In addition, Coflex introduces the new line of Coflex® kitchen sink strainers and Coflex Trap System, which facilitates and improves their installation and helps create 100% odor-free spaces.

- Coflex inaugurates a new plastic injection plant in Monterrey, Mexico.
2010 - 2013
- Coflex developed and launched in the Mexican market a new product line of Flexible Traps t for the installation of washbasins and sinks.
- Coflex introduces the Flexible Toilet Seal to the Mexican market for a quick and easy installation of toilets.
- The Flexible Anti-Leak Seal was developed and introduced to the Chilean market, which facilitates and ensures the installation of toilets.

- Established a Lean Manufacturing production strategy to lower production time, improve product quality and reduce overall production costs.
- In 2012, Coflex Colombia S.A.S., is established and its promotion and sales offices are inaugurated.
2006 - 2009
- The Coflex® Flexible Flange is developed, patented and introduced to the Mexican market. A unique product due to its characteristics, advantages and quality to provide a solution to toilet installation problems.
- Coflex maintains a strong presence in the US market through the OEM channel.
- In 2009, Coflex renews its corporate identity.

- Coflex Perú, S.A.C. distribution center and sales offices are inaugurated in 2007.
- Research and Development department is formed
- “Empresa Familiarmente Responsable” recognition is granted by the “Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social”.
2002 - 2005
- Coflex introduces its Toilet Installation Packages to the Mexican market to facilitate our customers the installation of their devices.
- “Chupón Universal Coflex” is created and introduced to the market.
- Incorporation of Plomaq. S.A. de C.V., an independent company responsible for the forging and manufacturing of hose fittings and hose barbs used in the assembly of Coflex products.

- In 2002 and 2003, Coflex receives “Supplier of the Year” award from The Home Depot Mexico.
- Federal Government's Environmental Protection Agency in Mexico (PROFEPA) certified Coflex as “Industria Limpia” (Clean Industry) Coflex is recognized as an Inclusive Company granted by the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social).
- In 2005, a new 5,000 m² Coflex manufacturing and assembly plant was built and inaugurated, with a production capacity of more than 2 million pieces per month.
- Obtained SICAL certification to export gas products to Chile.
1994 - 2001
- Coflex begins exporting its products to the United States and Canada
- In 1994, Coflex introduced the Plomer brand to market value-added products that complement its line of Flexible Connectors.
- In 1995, Coflex is granted the Vinyl Flexible Connector patent in Mexico and the United States.

- In 1999, Coflex obtains the ISO-9001 certification for its quality assurance system, as well as the NSF and IAPMO certifications to strengthen its exports.
- Coflex receives the Nuevo León Quality Award 2001 and the “Rodolfo González Garza Exporter Merit Award” s 2001, in recognition of its commitment and performance in the
export sector.
1986 - 1993
- Industrial de Mangueras Reforzadas, S.A. de C.V. (IMAR) is founded in 1986.
- The flexible water connector is launched in the Mexican market, replacing traditional rigid copper connections.
- Control Keys for washbasins and sinks (previously only used for toilets) are released to the Mexican market.
- Launched the Coflex® flexible gas connectors is to the Mexican market, to promote safer installations.
- The product line of connectors expands releasing Coflex®fBoiler connector

- In 1989, the Coflex® brand name is presented and launched to the Mexican market and since then has gained widespread acceptance becoming the generic name for flexible connectors.
- Coflex inaugurates its first manufacturing plant in 1993, a 2,000-m2 complex.
