Coflex began operations in 1986 with the name IMAR, manufacturing flexible braided hoses for the export market .In 1989, the modern flexible plumbing connectors were launched in the Mexican market with the Coflex brand, replacing the widespread use of rigid plumbing pipe.

Our promise of safety and security in our products has transcended international borders. The export of our products started twenty years ago and today, our products are present in the entire American Continent.

  • As a new endeavor, Coflex opens a plastic injection molding plant at its manufacturing facilities in Monterrey, Mexico.
  • The entry into the United States consumer market is made possible with innovative products such as the Flexible Toilet Flange and the Snappy Trap® drain kits.

  • The Coflex Flexible Drain Kit For Kitchen Sinks is launched Mexico and Latin America.
  • Lean Manufacturing is implemented in manufacturing to increase quality, reduce costs and lead times.
  • Coflex significantly grows its product line in the installation and plumbing repair category.
  • In 2012, Coflex Colombia S.A.S. opens as a sales and promotion office in Colombia.
  • Coflex launches the Flexible Toilet Seal for easy and quick installation of toilets.
  • Coflex launches the Flexible No Leaks Toilet Seal in Chile.

  • In 2007, Coflex Peru opens as a sales and promotion office in Peru.
  • A new R& D department is created in Monterrey headquarters.
  • The Flexible Toilet Flange, a one of a kind product with the quality and features needed to improve toilet installation, is designed, patented and launched in Mexico and Latin America.
  • Coflex maintains a strong presence in the USA OEM market through sales to top brand faucet manufacturers.
  • Family Friendly Company recognition is awarded to Coflex by the “Social Work and Employment” office in the state government of Nuevo Leon

  • Coflex introduces the Coflex Installation Kits which are configured to provide customers with all the necessary items in a convenient package for installation of their fixtures and appliances.
  • Coflex receives Home Depot’s Supplier of the Year recognition in 2002 and in 2003.
  • Coflex is certified as a “Clean Industry” company by the federal environmental protection agency in Mexico.
  • The Equal Opportunity Employer recognition is issued by the “Social Work and Employment” office in the state government of Nuevo Leon.
  • The Coflex Universal Wall Drain Coupling is introduced in Mexico and Latin America.
  • In 2005, Coflex builds a 5,000m2 manufacturing plant with a production capacity of over 2 million units per month.
  • Coflex’s subsidiary Plomaq becomes an independent company, its main activities are forging and machining of connections and barbs used in the assembly of Coflex products.
  • Coflex obtains certification in Chile for exporting its gas connectors to this country.

  • The first exports of Coflex products to the US and Canada begin.
  • In 1994, Coflex introduces Plomer, a brand of products that complement its line of flexible braided plumbing connectors.
  • In 1995, Coflex obtains the patent for the Polymer Braided Hose in Mexico and the United States.
  • In 1999, Coflex is awarded the ISO-9001 certification for quality control systems, as well as NSF and IAPMO certifications for exports.
  • Coflex receives the state wide quality recognition “Nuevo León for Quality” in 2001.

  • In 1986 Industrial de Mangueras Reforzadas, S.A. de C.V. (IMAR) is created.
  • Coflex introduces flexible braided plumbing connectors for water in Mexico, replacing traditional rigid copper pipe.
  • In 1989, Coflex becomes the generic brand across Mexico for all flexible braided plumbing connectors.
  • Shut off valves for wash basin and sinks, previously only used for toilets, are introduced to the market in Mexico.
  • The Coflex flexible braided plumbing connector for gas, which provides safer installations, is introduced to the market.
  • In 1993, a 2,000m2 plant is inaugurated.
