Things You Have to Know Before Choosing Your Sink or Kitchen Trap

We have talked about the types of traps that are on the market, but today we want to tell you about some factors that you should consider before choosing the ideal trap for your bathroom or kitchen sink.

At first, you should ask yourself something very simple "What will I install: a kitchen or bathroom sink?"

In catalogs, product sheets, brochures and/or packaging you can consult the models that apply for kitchen or bathroom sinks. Consider that if you are going to install a kitchen sink you will also have to define if it is Single or Double Bowl.

Now, once you have this information, you should consider: 1) the space under your sink, 2) the height of the pipe in your wall drain and 3) if there are misaligned drainage conditions.

In a regular installation the trap makes a perfect connection between the sink and the pipe in your wall drain, since these are centered. For a regular installation, you can use Coflex's Premium Plastic Tubulars SKUs P-B9052P, P-B9053P (see Table 1) or the Sink Exit SKU P-B9054P (see Table 2), which are made with 100% Virgin material that offers you a leak-free installation.

Sink Exit SKU P-B9028P (see Table 2) allows you to adjust the drain pipe laterally when it is toward the right or left side of the center of the slit. It also allows you to adjust the distance between the Shifters, avoiding that you have to cut to make the adjustment.

For these you must acquire a Trap to install them, since it is not included.

On the other hand, under misaligned drainage conditions the connection between the sink and the pipe is more than 10 cm, i.e. the pipe is up, down, to the right or left of the center.

It is for this reason that we have designed different solutions that will allow you to make an easy adjustment. Among these solutions you can find the Multi-Purpose Plastic P-Trap SKU P-B9029P (see Table 1) which maximize the space under your sink and allows you to adjust up to 13 cm.

On the other hand, you can also find the exclusive Coflex's Premium Flexible Traps (see Table 3) that will help you to easily correct offsets of up to 30 cm caused by misaligned drainage conditions.

Coflex's Flexible P-Traps are easy to install and require no tools.

In case you require extra range for the Sink, and as long as you are using the TF-100 and TF-110, you can look for the Extension SKU TF-050 that offers you an extra 25 cm.

Finally, you must consider the number of additions to install. The SKUs TF-100 and TF-110 have an elbow with a branch for dishwasher drain hose or RO drain hose.

Now you Know! Look for the best option to install your bathroom or kitchen sink.
